Cabin Sharing Program

"We found accommodation for the night at a crofter’s cottage. Or I should say I did. The men slept outside, disposed in various haystacks, wagon-beds and patches of bracken. In deference to my sex or my status as semicaptive, I was provided with a pallet on the floor inside, near the hearth.

While my pallet seemed vastly preferable to the single bedstead in which the entire family of six was sleeping, I rather envied the men their open-air sleeping arrangements. The fire was not put out, only damped for the night, and the air in the cottage was stifling with warmth and the scents and sounds of the tossing, turning, groaning, snoring, sweating, farting inhabitants."

Do you want to come to the Homecoming but need to split the cost of lodging with others?

Would you be willing to share a cabin, a room or perhaps even a bed with another like-minded, obsessed Sassenach?

One of the goals of the Homecoming is to share Jamie & Claire’s 18th century North Carolina. Since sharing lodging, even beds, was a common 18th century practice, it seems to fit perfectly into our Homecoming theme as well!

Do you want to be like Claire? We have you covered, Sassenach!

HERE IS HOW OUR CABIN SHARING PROGRAM WORKS:

  • We offer spaces to TICKET HOLDERS who wish to participate in the program. These spaces are in private cabins that Outlander North Carolina has rented from Leatherwood Mountains Resort for attendees to share to reduce costs or to be with other Outlander fans.
  • Spaces in the cabin sharing program are rented for four nights, with check in on October 11 and check out on October 15. Everyone in the cabin must have purchased a ticket.
  • We offer “a space” which means if a cabin sleeps 10, the total cabin rental cost is divided by 10 for a price per space for the entirety of your stay.
  • You can usually expect to pay between $150 and $250 for the entire stay (4 nights) for a single space. *One cabin requires rent per space of over $400.*
  • ALL bathroom space MUST be shared. Due to the number of attendees who are placed in a cabin and the high demand for space, if you are offered a private bedroom with private bath, you must agree to share the bathroom space with others in the cabin.
  • Although you are asked for your preference in the form below, we can make no guarantees of a private room in the cabin sharing program. You may be asked if you would be willing to share a bedroom or a bed as space is extremely limited. We will do our best to honor your requests but due to high demand, we are sometimes unable to do so.
  • You will have the choice to accept or decline the space that is offered to you.
  • Spaces are not guaranteed as they fill up quickly. The earlier your ticket is purchased, the better the chance that we will be able to place you in our cabin sharing program.
  • Cabins are located in Leatherwood Mountains Resort but none of the cabins rented by Outlander North Carolina are within walking distance to the “activity center” of the Homecoming. Your own personal transportation or carpooling will be necessary.
  • You will be required to agree to and sign a Cabin Share Rental Agreement once you have accepted a space in the program. A $50 deposit is due upon signing.

Fill out the form below and we will be in touch soon!

Fraser's Ridge Homecoming Cabin Sharing Request Form
Please complete this form to help us respond to your request to participate in the Cabin Sharing Program. A ticket to Fraser's Ridge Homecoming MUST be purchased BEFORE our team attempts to make arrangements for you. Please note that completion of this form does NOT guarantee placement.
If you answered no, please note that we can only place you in a cabin share space once you have purchased a ticket. We will keep your request on file until you do; however, cabin share spaces fill up quickly so don't delay too long!
We try very hard to honor each request but because of limited availability, it is probable that we may not be able to do so. We may offer you a space in a room shared with someone else or a space in a bed shared with someone else. You will have the opportunity to decline the offer. If you decline, we will try to recommend other options which may be available other than participating in the cabin sharing program. ALL bathrooms must be shared with other attendees.
