Grog Ceremony Participation Form

Grog Ceremony Participation Form
The Grog Ceremony, led by our living history units, will take place on Saturday evening. We will be honoring those that served in the Battle of Alamance and the Revolutionary War, both Crown and Patriot forces. If you have a known ancestor that served in the Battle of Alamance or the Revolutionary War and would like to participate, please submit the form below. We would ask that you also provide a bottle of Drambuie which will be used in the toast by all in attendance at the end of the Grog Ceremony. We will be collecting the Drambuie during registration. Your spoken tribute at the ceremony should be limited to 20-30 seconds. Depending upon participation numbers, we may limit your tribute to one ancestor if you have listed more than one. At the end of your tribute, you will pour a shot glass of Drambuie into the ceremonial grog bowl and return to your seat. Please complete the form below. There is some information that may not be known, such as the ancestor’s military unit or battle. If you have more than one ancestor, you may list them in the comments.
