Instructor/Workshop Application

EVENT DATE:

October 20 – 22

NOTE:

PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE COMPLETING FORM!

Application Deadline Extended:  July 15, 2022

Thank you for you interest in being a workshop instructor at Fraser’s Ridge Homecoming 2022! The success of the event since 2018 has relied on our instructors and the wonderful skills and lessons they teach. We can’t wait to see what will be offered to our attendees in 2022 but we know it will be GREAT!

Unlike in previous years & because of high demand (that’s a good thing), each instructor will need to fill out the application below. This will help us look over all of the potential workshops and, in the event we have too many, select the ones that best fit our attendees and the space that we have to work with. Also, after last year’s workshop registration fiasco, I will be using a new platform for workshop registration which will hopefully make things simpler for those of us working behind the scenes to set up and to finalize the registration plus easier for the attendees to register for workshops altogether.

In light of the cost of not only the new software but the labor-intensive nature of workshop registration, instructors will now be charged a $25 flat fee for each workshop they wish to present. The fee is one-time charge just for the workshop itself. For example, if an instructor teaches one workshop four times, the cost to the instructor will be a flat $25. If an instructor wishes to teach four different workshops several times over the course of the three days of the Homecoming, the cost will be $100. This cost may be recouped in the price the instructor sets for the workshop.

*If you are a non-profit or teaching a FREE workshop in exchange for an honorarium, donation or other reason, please complete the information in the form below and select FREE workshop in the fee section. This will let you bypass the payment field.*

Also, new for 2022, instructors will need to choose the method in which they get paid directly by the attendees so that we can make that information available on the registration website. Once you have your rosters, you can communicate to your attendees the exact method of payment, whether through PayPal, Venmo, or payment directly to you via mail or at the workshop itself.

As mentioned above, since we do have so many instructors wanting to participate in the Homecoming, if we have more apply than we can reasonably fit into the three days or into the space that we have, we will have to make our best picks. In the event one or more of your workshops is not selected, your application fee for the declined workshop(s) will be returned to you less the transaction fee (2.9% + $0.30).

Thank you again for your interest in being an instructor at Homecoming 2022! Please let me know if you have any questions by contacting beth@outlandernorthcarolina.com.

Because of the cost of workshop registration software plus the enormous amount of administrative time required to set up and complete workshop registration along with class rosters, schedules, etc., a $25 administrative fee must be charged for each workshop which requires a fee. You may certainly recoup this administrative fee in the price you charge for each workshop and you are highly encouraged to do so.

NOTE: IF YOUR WORKSHOP OR WORKSHOPS CANNOT BE INCLUDED IN OUR SCHEDULE, THE ADMINISTRATIVE FEE WILL BE REFUNDED TO YOU MINUS THE TRANSACTION FEE. *
