Instructor/Workshop Application
EVENT DATE:
October 12-14, 2023
NOTE:
PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE COMPLETING FORM!
Application Deadline: May 31, 2023
NEW FOR 2023!
All instructors charging a workshop fee will be required to set up a PayPal account to receive those fees directly from attendees. No other method of payment is allowed. Once workshop registration is over, instructors will receive their rosters via email. The rosters will include the names and email addresses for their students. Each instructor will then invoice each student in their class through PayPal by using the students’ provided email addresses. Attendees do not have to set up an account to pay the invoice.

If you are teaching more than one workshop and a student has signed up for more than one of them, you will not have to send a separate invoice for each workshop the student has signed up for as you will be able to list all of the workshops each student has signed up for in one invoice. In other words, one invoice per student per instructor. You do NOT need to coordinate with other instructors regarding invoicing or payments. You will only invoice for the workshops you are teaching.
We believe that this method will be easier for you to keep track of who has and who has not paid for their workshops as PayPal will track which invoices are pending payment. It will also make it simpler for the attendee (1) to pay using their credit card via the link you email to them and (2) by not having to pay different instructors using different payment methods which can be confusing and hard to remember.
Thank you for you interest in being a workshop instructor at Fraser’s Ridge Homecoming 2023! The success of the event since 2018 has relied on our instructors and the wonderful skills and lessons they teach. We can’t wait to see what will be offered to our attendees in 2023 but we know it will be GREAT!
Each instructor will need to fill out the application below. This will help us look over all of the potential workshops and, in the event we have too many, select the ones that best fit our attendees and the space that we have to work with.
There is a $25 flat fee for each workshop you wish to present. The fee is one-time charge just for the workshop itself. For example, if an instructor teaches one workshop four times, the cost to the instructor will be a flat $25. If an instructor wishes to teach four different workshops several times over the course of the three days of the Homecoming, the cost will be $100. This cost may be recouped in the price the instructor sets for the workshop.
*If you are a non-profit or teaching a FREE workshop in exchange for an honorarium, donation or other reason, please complete the information in the form below and select FREE workshop in the fee section. This will let you bypass the payment field.*
As mentioned above, since we do have so many instructors wanting to participate in the Homecoming, if we have more apply than we can reasonably fit into the three days or into the space that we have, we will have to make our best picks. In the event one or more of your workshops is not selected, your application fee for the declined workshop(s) will be returned to you less the transaction fee (2.9% + $0.30).
Thank you again for your interest in being an instructor at Homecoming 2023! Please let me know if you have any questions by contacting beth@outlandernorthcarolina.com.
